    Some of my friends can’t get into my chat room.

    For some, the applet page won’t pop up or load at all. For others, the applet page opens, but is garbled and will not show up.

    What can I do?

    What browser and version are they using? What operating system are they using? Windows/Linux/Mac OS X? Did they grant the applet permission to run?

    Nothing rhymes with Cindy Crawford after 9 coronas...

    IE Explorer 6, Windows ’98 in one case – Windows XP in another. And the applet didn’t ask for permission according to both of them.

    Is there some type of default setting to allow the applet to run?

    Read the posts in this search link:

    Search for Java Plugin

    Read through them posts and you should find the link to the java plugin. It sounds like they need to download and install that plugin to make things work again.
