If for some reason you no longer have control of your room (eg you’ve OP’d someone and they’ve de-opped you and won’t give your OP status back), here’s what you need to do (the capital letters are to be replaced with whatever is relevant to you, any symbols (eg. #), except for _ should not be removed/replaced):
1. If you haven’t done this already, register your nickname:
/nickserv register A_PASSWORD YOUREMAIL
2. If you haven’t alreay done so, register your room
/chanserv register #NAME_OF_YOUR_CHATROOM A_PASSWORD A_DESCRIPTION_FOR_YOUR_ROOM
3. Type the OP command:
/chanserv op #NAME_OF_YOUR_CHATROOM YOURNICKNAME
You should now have op control again. If you need more help, contact me at [email protected]
I was not tested on animals by or for Asda.also I would like to add in. If you come into the room and you need op (that you are listed on as sop, aop, or owner) then you can use /cs op and it will make you an op.
How do you register your chatroom and become owner of it? I do not understand where you do this? Please help
