March 1, 2004 at 6:12 pm #3099Hi Amy.. where’s the page?
You may need the java plugin for your browser from http://www.java.com but I can’t be sure without looking at your page first.
Nothing rhymes with Cindy Crawford after 9 coronas...March 1, 2004 at 6:13 pm #3100March 1, 2004 at 6:15 pm #3101Never mind… I found your page. (was in your profile)
It works just fine for me with Windows XP and Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox/Firebird. It also worked for me on SuSE 9.0 and Firefox/Firebird.
You probably need the java plugin. Also, on windows I had to dispable Norton Internet Security 2004 so the popup window could appear. Not sure if your using that or not.
Nothing rhymes with Cindy Crawford after 9 coronas...March 1, 2004 at 6:16 pm #3102java plug in? i am at the library and as far as i know we have java cuz i can chat anywhere else like in yahoo etc….
March 1, 2004 at 6:19 pm #3103Will a window pop up? If it does what does the box say? If not then it may be being prevented by some sort of privacy or anti virus software.
I went to “Amy’s_Chatroom” (I believe it was named) So it’s working.
Nothing rhymes with Cindy Crawford after 9 coronas...March 1, 2004 at 6:21 pm #3104the only time anything pops up is when i don’t enter a log in name and thats just to remind me i need to enter a name.. other than that no… i can enter the room with the click link but not with the banner. It just says error on page at the bottom
March 1, 2004 at 6:27 pm #3105I turned norton off and it was a mistake.. lol
Your web host is pushing something called dashboard? I dunno.. looked like spyware junk, really. There also seems to be a number of other java scripts running on the page. I suggest creating a single, blank page with nothing but the chat room code on it and see if that works. Also, you may wish to use the one that loads in the same page or perhaps the “chat now” text link. I think IE is choking on the other java scripts and ads on the page.
Nothing rhymes with Cindy Crawford after 9 coronas...March 1, 2004 at 6:29 pm #3106lol usually i could tell you what the specks were for the host i was using but this is a new host for me… the link itself seems to be working. I think I will use that for now.
Ever concider the option of being able to load the chatroom upon entering a page?
March 1, 2004 at 6:32 pm #3107Nope, that’s never entered my mind. lol
But, next time I’m hammering on things around here I’ll keep it in mind.

I meant to do my work today... I really did! *cough*March 4, 2004 at 9:53 pm #3138Sounds like a java plugin is needed. Not sure why yours quit working if it had worked before.
Go to http://www.java.com and download their latest plugin and that should cure it.
