Sorry to be a bit dim but where does the smaller piece of code go? On an entry page?

The direct link code? You can place that just about anywhere. In a menu list or in the footer of your pages. Or no place at all. In some instances, that link is an easier route for users to enter your room. (depending on how old their browser is and what type of operating system is in use)

LoL I don’t think anyone has had to wait that long here, ever. I’m around almost daily and I check the forum first thing in the mornings.
If I can get the answers out then I do but otherwise I then get back to them that night. There have been occasions where a couple days have passed but that’s not to often.
