Hi again, someone has informed me that the chat won’t load because of an error message….<inputsize2> this is in the nick text area of the login box……can I change that?

Are they on an old browser or something other than Netscape or IE? Such as Opra? Are they using a Mac computer? Something must be different but not sure what. Feel free to change it to what you want. The error is from a dynamicly sized input area to match Netscape or IE browsers.

The person is using a new computer(not a mac) with windows xp……they were using IE6 and also downloaded a newer version of netscape and had the same problem.
I took out the ‘2’ in the chat code, but unfortunately the person experienceing the problem hasn’t been around to try it and see if that worked….lol
I will post as soon as they do to let you know.
Thanks again Dave—-

This could also be their security settings in XP. Set IE 6.0 to the default levels and see if that helps. I do know we have some xp users that are not having problems. There have been other xp users that have problems also though. So far xp has been a pain in the butt. lol

well, all I changed was to take out the ‘2’ and just had her try it….but now same error message without the ‘2’ lol….
(input size error is undefined)
well…i tried the security settings with her too….no change, but what makes me wonder is she couldn’t even load the test chat pages……shrugs’
I’m having her use the windows update to update some things…..I’ll keep you posted k 🙂
Thanks Dave

ParticipantI use XP and haven’t had any problems– so the applet IS XP-compatable. I bought my computer about three months ago and haven’t changed a single setting– used the defaults on everything, including IE.

That’s good to know. I think some companies have settings tweaked or something. Some people have problems with XP and some dont.
