hi, i’m new to all of this, but i’m having one hell of a time figuring this out. i have two members registered already whom i want to make mods. so when i follow the instructions you know:
chanserv>access add>enter name of member>then enter level 5
i get a error message that says i can’t use that, adn to use AOP, VOP,SOP instead. now my problem is, i don’t see AOP,SOP,VOP options anywhere in chanserv, i saw the other help page for this, but it didn’t helpme at all, cause i can’t find those options.
pelase help me, i really like the chat house but this is really confusing. thank you for your time.

/chanserv set #YourRoomName xop off
Then you can use the /chanserv access command. 🙂
Let me know if that helped.

I believe this is the default for a new room. Those users must first identify with /nickserv before they can become an op. Have them type /nickserv identify TheirNicknamePassword and then they can type /chanserv op
Let me know if that works.
