Hi,
I would like a little help regarding the way I can become an operator.
I have to tell that I have registered my username using a password of my choice..
When I log in from the ADVANCED
UserName : my username
UserPassword: my username password
Channel Password: The password that you send with an e-mail.
I don’t have the @
I have tryed the following
/nickserv identify YourPasswordHere
/chanserv op
but sometimes I don’t receive eny response and other times ACCESS DENIED.
What I’m doing wrong?
February 3, 2003 at 3:12 am #1833Once you are in chat, you need to register a user name with in the chat server. It sounds like you are using the information that you registered with at this site. You don’t use that info.
You need to register a new nick once in chat

February 4, 2003 at 3:05 am #1835Are you the owner of the room? If not, are you on the rooms access list? If not, you need the owner to add you before you can become an OP in a room.

May 5, 2003 at 1:18 pm #1981I’ve kinda got the same problem.
I used to have the @ by my name but once I registered
the room it disappeared.
Now I cannot do anything. I keep getting ACCESS DENIED.
I cant even make ‘sounds’
I have to admit I don’t understand most of the
descriptions of what each ‘serv’ does.
I may have done something and didnt even know it.
May 6, 2003 at 2:07 am #1982I dont know what I did to take the @ away, but I messed around and typed in some commands and got it back.

~~~Misty~~~{@ Im the little one...and mysterious oneMay 16, 2003 at 12:12 pm #2015I’ve the same prob, if i join by using the first page of the java-chat, i’ll get my operator @, but if i entered by another nick, so i won’t get the @, i cant’t get it by using both identifies, even if it says i’m the founder i cant get the @ without closing the window and opening a new one…
