If you have registered your nickname with nickserv and your room with chanserv you can then type:
/nickserv identify YourPassword
Then type:
/chanserv op
You should now have @’s (moderator status) in your room.
Take a look at the “Chat Room FAQ” section of the forums in the “How do I gain full control of my room” entry.
