OMGoodness do I need HELP! 🙁 O.K. I registered, created my chat room, copied my code,…… now what? Is it possible to have Chatter’s Online host my chats and remote link the hyper link at my web site? If so how do I upload my code here at Chatter’s online? I am using coffee cup html editor.
Gosh I feel completely lost!
March 1, 2002 at 10:11 pm #812hehe it’s not that bad.
Copy/paste the code to your webpage, between the <body> and </body> tags. If your editor is a WYSIWYG veriety (what you see is what you get) and you paste the code into the displayed page it will more than likely be rendered as text and not work at all. What you want is to be viewing your page’s html code and paste it in between the body tags. That should work.
It’s funny that you ask about me hosting the code here. I’m working on storing room owner’s code in the database and allowing a simple link with their user ID to enter their rooms. It’s a slow process for me as I’m the only person that works on anything here.. LoL but not sure if I would pay anyone to do it if I could afford it… LoL wouldn’t feel like my own project then.
Go ahead and give it a try. Let me know how it goes. I’ll try to take a look at the page if there are any errors and let you know what’s wrong.
Nothing rhymes with Cindy Crawford after 9 coronas...March 1, 2002 at 11:46 pm #813headbarkeepParticipantHi Dave~ 🙂 Thanks for your reply. It is pretty funny that it has been on your mind about hosting rooms! I truely understand your comments about not much extra time or resources! Hehehe
O.K. I am doing better! I can actually see the chat room pop up on my page after I click chat here link!! YEA!!!
~Now for the difficulties~
I am doing something wrong. I do not see the img for the nickname and password. So even though the chat room will display after clicking the link it wont do anything b/c I am not signed in. So! What now?
Thanks!
