    What server should I connect to in my IRC client in able to be able to be permanently opped in my chat room. I would feel more secure if I could do this. I tried connecting to US.LasVegas.ChattersOnline.com but my connection was refused.

    I don’t even know if this is possible… but just asking

    and yes a connection can be refused if the server is wrong or the server is only specified for certain people to be on.

    When I connect to that host now, I get disconnected and I get a message that says (This port is for servers only). Should I be using a port other than 8180?

    How many is alot? And you shouldn’t because everyone won’t be on at the same time, right?

    I’m not sure yet how much my site’ll grow, if it gets to be alot I will disable the chat feature or you guys can tell me how much is enough, but I wouldn’t be hesitant to say that there could be as many as 200+ in the channel at any given time

    The free rooms will be limited to 10 users in the next couple of months. Some other non standard IRC changes to the servers will also be made. IRC clients will still have access but may not be able to be used fully.

    Nothing rhymes with Cindy Crawford after 9 coronas...
