Hi,
I want to know if it is possible to use this but run it off of a private server?
I take it from this line…..

that the applet runs “chatnow.cgi” from the chattersonline server.
I want to run the chat software totally from a private server, (where the wwwthreads forums are run from)
Is this possible?

If your server is connected to the internet so when people click on the chat link it can relay them to my server so they can load the java applet then yes you could. I think. LoL If I am understanding you correctly.

Yeah sort of, but we really wanted all the files on our server so we dont have to rely on anyone elses.
Does that make sense?
Im not sure if the java is yours or not, but if so we maybe interested in useing it somehow.
We have a wwwthreads board and like the “login with username” ability of it.

Ahh ok. Well then the answer to your first question is no. Sorry. Even if you had the java portioin of the chat you still need the chat servers and the custom cgi scripts I made and use to make it all mesh together.

we have already got a chat server running but simply want to be able to log in automatically when logged into the BB.
Out of interest what chat server are you running ?
Currently using Ultimate IRCd. This will be changing in the months to come though. (for the better too
)
