This is just another email I am deleting from my hard drive. I am putting it here because I thought it was kinda ironic. LoL I’m sure this dot com will vanish at some point too. I had applied to their service a long time back and was denied and then some time after they send me an email asking if I wanted to pay for their services (they wanted me as a customer!). LoL Here’s the scoop:
Dear Mr. Lozier:
Hi! I am the Affiliate Manager here at onResponse.com. Lita Kaufman and I discussed your situation last week, and it prompted me to look into the reasons why your previous affiliate application was not accepted. When I saw your website, I was very pleased with it. I can only imagine that your application was denied because the site could have been a freely hosted site at the time–other than that, I see no reason why your site was denied, unless it was a simple error on our part.
I believe your demographic would be perfect for our marketing needs at this time, and apologize for any frustration you were caused in the past. I would like to personally invite you to reapply with us at this time. Simply go to http://www.onresponse.com, and click on the “Join Now” portion at the lower-right portion of the page. Then, just follow the instructions, and you’re on your way! I look forward to receiving your application, and will review it myself. Thanks, and have a great day!

Hello,
Currently there are no departments or engineers or anyone other than me, the owner. In short, ChattersOnline.com is a one man show. Now that that’s out of the way I would also like to inform you that my site makes NO money. In fact, everything comes out of my pocket. Call it a hobby. I can see no reason why I would want to pay onResponce.com for sending people to register on my site. That would only be another expense that I don’t need.
On a side note, I applied to be an affiliate once but was informed that my demographics were screwed. Nothing has changed since then so I’m assuming that my demographics are still screwed. If that’s the case then what you are saying is that you can drive more screwed demographics to my screwed demographic site?
Dot Coms are dying daily. I’m still around because I didn’t have any VC to blow before bailing and I started my site based on a budget that included diapers for my youngest. Now that he doesn’t need diapers I have a few extra bucks for my hobby. I’m working on a service based offering and hope to make my little venture pay for itself at some point. If it don’t, no big deal. It’s still a hobby and I enjoy doing it.
Sincerely,
Dave Lozier
On a side note, this site has never been hosted on a free hosting plan and I’ll still be here when these guys are gone…
