I just tried using my webtv emulator but microsoft won’t let me connect to a chat room with it. It seemed to work the last time I used it and the group I was helping said that webtv was working for them. I have an older version of the emulator that was able to connect to chat rooms without getting blocked by microsoft. I have to look for it though as it’s backed up on cd somewhere. (I really should lable them things…) Then I can test the chat rooms again and see what may have gone wrong.

For now they can try IP address 206.161.127.36 and port 6669 while I figure out what has changed. It would not surprise me one bit if microsoft was trying to keep webtv chatters on their own network.
